Uni-Goers – Mark the Dates


It’s an exciting time for studious minds at the moment as many Queensland universities have either already commenced or will be commencing classes for 2016 very soon. Need the key dates? We got you.

Classes commence on the 29th of February at the following local unis:

-Griffith University

-QUT, Queensland University of Technology

-UQ, University of Queensland

-USQ, University of Southern Queensland

Bond University is a special snowflake and already commenced classes on the 18th of January, almost a month ago. If you’re enrolled at Bond and didn’t know this, we are very sorry to be the bearer of bad news…

Once you’ve started studying, it doesn’t take long before you’re in need of a break, so here are Queensland’s Public Holiday Dates that are yet to come for 2016:

-Good Friday – Friday, March 25th

-Easter Saturday – Saturday, March 26th

-Easter Monday – Monday, March 28th

-Anzac Day – Monday, April 25th

-Labour Day – Monday, May 5th

-Royal Queensland Show (Brisbane Area) – Wednesday, August 10th

-Queen’s Birthday – Monday, October 3rd

-Christmas – Sunday, December 25th & Tuesday, December 27th

-Boxing Day – Monday, December 26th

There you have it, the dates to be anxious about and the dates to look forward to! Keep in mind, Robertson Gardens is right across the road from the Griffith Uni Nathan Campus and only a short distance from many other campuses, if you’re after accommodation. 🙂
